Hüllen [hulls]

Hüllen are cocoon-like structures inspired by insect chrysalis. They not only intend to represent and contain protective spaces for the transformative possibilities of female lives, including past events and future dreams, but also ambiguously, they intend to represent roles and responsibilities of holding space or in other words, of care giving. These sculptural vessels honor the invisible acts of caring, which sometimes compete with transformational potentials and fleeting time.
